Welcome to the Banora Point upgrade website. The NSW Roads and Traffic Authority (RTA) is investigating an upgrade of the Pacific Highway at Banora Point.
This project is jointly funded by the NSW and Australian governments.
In April 2007, a project application was submitted to the Department of Planning seeking the Director-General's requirements for the environmental assessment of the project under Part 3A of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.
The environmental assessment was completed and publicly exhibited for community comment from 20 February to 31 March 2008. Following the display of the environmental assessment and refined design, the RTA has considered community submissions received and prepared a submissions report in response to the issues raised. The environmental assessment submissions report was lodged with the NSW Department of Planning on Friday 4 July 2008.
This website provides information on the proposed design of the upgrade, its environmental assessment and the main steps in the study process.
