Enjoyment
Throughout the years, PB has created a number of social activities that have become important institutions within our environment. Each office sponsors and supports a range of social activities and interactions that truly engage with the needs and wants of their team members.
PB has a commitment to having fun at work that is often envied by others in our industry. PB is only as good as the people we employ, and it is these people who make our workplace one to enjoy.
The ability to influence and contribute
PB works hard to create an environment that actively involves and engages our people, and that aligns our business with our people’s personal and professional needs. We are proud of the contribution our staff make to the successful development of our business, through initiatives like regular ‘people’ surveys, the PGN, PANs and our employee referral program (to support our recruitment and resourcing needs).
Personal flexibility and wellbeing
PB understands that our employment relationship extends well beyond the need for resources to deliver outstanding client outcomes. Working for PB offers more than just professional opportunities, and we are proud of our flexibility and commitment in meeting our people’s more personal and individual needs.
Our people have access to flexible working arrangements; above-industry standards for funded parental leave; subsidised life and income protection, and corporate health care plans; and regular office initiatives to promote enhanced personal health and wellbeing.
Corporate social responsibility
PB strives to empower and reward our people, to enhance the depth and influence of our systems and processes, and to add value to the communities and environments where we work. The meaning of success for us goes well beyond the scope of commercial relationships and economic achievements.
PB's mission of demonstrating good corporate citizenship translates into many practical actions over and above our project work. These include fundraising for disaster relief (such as for Tropical Cyclone Larry in north Queensland), supporting/organising other fundraising initiatives (such as the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave, and events to support WaterAid Australia, of which PB is a corporate member), and volunteering in activities such as tree-planting and Clean Up Australia Day.
