PB recognises the importance of sustainability. We provide the motivation and tools for our staff to incorporate the principles of sustainability in their work.

A culture of safety

PB employs a behaviour-based approach to creating and maintaining a culture of safety. PB's leaders have a strong, sustained and visible commitment to safety. Our program of safety leadership training provides practical guidance on demonstrating this commitment.

As PB is involved in a great diversity of projects and tasks, our management of project occupational health and safety (OHS) promotes and supports a context-driven, risk-based, proactive and participative approach, targeting potential exposure to risk for a number of groups — including our own personnel, client personnel, the general public, and personnel employed to construct/commission any facility.

Corporate responsibility

PB's mission of demonstrating good corporate responsibility translates into many practical actions over and above our project work. These include:

• fundraising for disaster relief
• supporting/organising fundraising initiatives (such as the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave)
• events to support WaterAid Australia
• volunteering in activities (such as tree-planting and Clean Up Australia Day).
