Welcome to the Pacific Highway Kempsey to Eungai upgrade
website.
The NSW Roads and Traffic Authority (RTA) is investigating an upgrade of the Pacific Highway between Kempsey and Eungai. Planning for this project is fully funded by the NSW Government.
The project would extend approximately 40 km from the
existing dual carriageway south of Kempsey to the existing
dual carriageway at Eungai Rail.
The environmental assessment was completed and publicly exhibited for community comment from Monday 30 July until Friday 31 August 2007. Following the display of the environmental assessment and refined design, the RTA has considered community submissions received and prepared a submissions report in response to the issues raised. The submissions report was lodged with the NSW Department of Planning on Tuesday 11 March 2008.
The proposal will now be assessed by the NSW Department of Planning and considered for approval by the NSW Minister for Planning. The Chief Executive of the RTA will then determine whether to proceed with the proposal. The submissions report is now available on the public information page.
