The Kholo Creek hardrock resource is regionally significant and economically important to the future development of south-east Queensland. The Department of State Development commissioned Parsons Brinckerhoff to carry out a study to identify the best location for a dedicated transport corridor running from the Kholo Creek hardrock resource area to the Warrego Highway.
